Bowlers it is that time of the year again. Time to start the new season. I’m sure all of you are excited about the prospects of the new season, either because you are bowling in a different bowling center or have a new ball, or maybe even some new team members. In any event, let me be the first to welcome you back and wish you a great season.

The Board of Directors has been busy, with the Bowl Like the Pros event and Scholarship Golf Outing recently. Both of these events were a success. Thank you to all who participated

We recently held our Annual Meeting. I would like to encourage any member to attend the Annual Meeting, which is held every year on the first Sunday in August. It allows you to voice any concerns, elect your board members, and even run for the board yourself if you desire. We welcome your involvement. I would like to welcome two new board members, Charlene Smith and Becky Martin.

The State Jamboree will be taking place the weekend after Labor Day. There are a few of the board members who will be attending this event.

Don’t forget, our annual Hall of Fame ceremony and dinner is Sunday, October 5, 2008. To those who have never attended, it is a wonderful dinner and a chance to see some of the premier bowlers in the area. This year our Master of Ceremonies is Greg Molzin from ABC 12. Our guest speaker is Randy Pedersen, the voice of ESPN Bowling. Tickets may be purchased at the bowling association office for $ 30.00.
